Academic detailing refers to the process of educating prescribers about the benefits and harms of medications like opioids. PMOP helps improve the lives of Veterans with pain through person-centered, evidence-based care. The medical treatment of pain as practiced in Greece and Turkey is called algology (from the Greek άλγος, algos, "pain").
